Three years & seven months waiting for our referral. There isn't much else to say. We're updating our homestudy/paperwork to open up our request to boy or girl, but my heart just isn't in the whole paperchase this time. Now that the Hawaii trip-of-a-lifetime has come & gone, I feel like there is little to look forward to. I guess I'm just bummed - gotta fix that somehow, but I'll be buggered if I know how.

You went to Hawaii already?? I thought it was not for a few months yet! OHAI DETAILS PLZ KTHXBAI. I need to know ALL THE THINGS.
We should do something fun to shake your funk. I don't know what either, but Xmas baking season is right around the corner...
I'll try to post some pics soon! Hawaii was amazing - so, so beautiful, and it was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful to spend time with my BFF.
Yes, we should do something together, even if it's just sitting around watching movies/whatever, and eating crappy food. Once we get past this weekend I should be fairly footloose & fancy-free.
Excellent. BDH and herself both have soccer bookending the weekends, but I am sure that we can fit something in.
I swear to you as dog is my witness I thought the Hawaii trip was in December. But I am glad you have gone and had a FABULOUS time!
Keep your chin up. When we were waiting for our referral two things happened that had us worried. (1) After two months home, a mom decided she couldn't cope with her Ethiopan born 7 yr old son and decided to relinquish him to social services; (2) there were elections in Ethiopia and 150 people were killed so all adoptions were blocked for a long time.
Things finally fell into place and our son finally came home in June 2006.

Thanks Anna!
