R.I.P. Oliver 2004-2009

In the latest in a series of bad things happening this year, my brother's cat has passed away. He was a very sweet, good natured cat, a tall & lanky brown tabby, with the highest pitched mew you ever heard. He had some seizures a few weeks ago but he seemed to be doing okay. Then on Saturday he had a major seizure & never came out of it. He will be missed.

Oh no, bless his heart. I love the grey and white tabby boys -- I've had two myself, including the current lumpa lumpa burnin' love, Duncan.

He looks like a sweet boy. I'm sorry to hear about his passing.

Thanks for your comment, we're really going to miss that big hunk of high-pitched mew. Last time I saw him he hopped up on his kitteh tower right next to where I was sitting, so I could pet him & give him some attention. He had such a sweet nature, and I must admit to shedding quite a few tears for him yesterday. Funny how we get so attached to pets - he was like my furry little nephew! I can't imagine how I'll feel when one of mine pass on. There's been too much sadness in my house this year (other than the birth of my niece & my dad's successful surgery). Sigh....

I hear that. Teh Bubby's time is coming, and I will need THERAPY. Some would say it's an abusive relationship, as often happens when a pet totally owns her staff. But I can't leave her. I know under all her shouting at me and bossing me around and acting like I am the stupidest human on the planet, there's a little kernel of not-hate.

But the sweet boy, he was part of your family. Of course you're shedding some tears.

I don't even want to think about our guys going. They just walk all over us - literally!
